Anchorage is a small town. When Anya met me for a consultation last winter it only took five seconds to discover that not only did she go to high school with my sister but I also knew members of her family.
After that initial connection I knew we were a good match. Anya loves color and nothing makes me happier than working with every shade of flower at once.
This was a kaleidoscope of a wedding. Even the home they got married in was bedecked with rainbow bunting. It was really a lovely sight!
Check out this bridal bouquet! Hot pink peonies, green globe dianthus, yellow billy balls, fuchsia spray rose, lavender stock, purple Matsumoto asters, red alstroemeria, peach and scarlet mini carnations, orange spray roses – it couldn’t get more colorful than this. I surrounded the flowers with Italian ruscus, leatherleaf fern and wild raspberry greens. So. Much. Yes.
The wedding party’s bouts and corsages were all a little different.
Anya wanted a flower crown for her bridesmaid, so I created an asymmetrical crown with mini myrtle surrounding the non-floral aspects:
But the real showstopper was the bridal flower crown. I almost couldn’t give this one up:
Congrats to Anya and Joe on their most vibrant, special day!
